The Skater dress BETTER than Bodycon

by - 11 March

The Skater Dress - there's everything to love about it, it swishes about your legs, makes you feel really girly and is this Spring and Summer's must have, whether in lace or colour block you are on trend throughout the season. Skater dresses do a better job than bodycons are made to do; skaters flatter almost all body shapes whereas the bodycon leads less thinner people away. The skater dress is for anyone! I love how it is belted, and clinches in at the waist. The lace detailing on this is amazing.

River Island have a whole range of colours in this lace dress and also do the same lace pattern in a bodycon.

The sweetheart neckline that is covered over with lace allow for both the bustier and bust-less. I don't like low-cut dresses which makes me veer away from sweetheart necklines but the neck details on this is perfect.

Waist and Hips; bodycons are made to show off curves or create curves, skater dresses give the same illusion, if not, BETTER creating smaller waist and creating the perfect hips, with or without the aid of the cute plaited belt in this dress.

Swishing around the legs, if you won't dare to bare, team it up with camel colour leggings. I have looked far and wide for the perfect leggings to match and these camel colour leggings from Republic is the only one that would look good with pastel orange.

Wear-with: peep-toe wedges or brown sandals.

The colour, perfect for day AND night, this is why I didn't choose bright coral in this, as it would make you look over-dressed during the day.
The Colour-Block Skater

Or Better still, go double trend with a colour-block Skater instead of Lace. I love how this is blocked with contrasting colours, it makes me stand right out into the crowd.
